Dispensing technology from the specialist

bdtronic processes single and multi-component reactive casting resins in its dispensing systems. Depending on the material and application, different dispensing systems are used. Polyurethanes, epoxy resins, silicones, MS polymers, acrylates, methacrylate or heat conductive pastes are used as dosing media or materials for metering.
They are widely used in a variety of industries, e.g. chemical, pharmaceutical, food and environmental engineering, and enable precise and controlled metering of materials. It is therefore possible to develop individual machine solutions for your needs. The dispensing systems are based on different processes for these purposes:

Applying

heat conductive pastes protect power electronics.

Bonding

two or more joining partners are joined together.

Sealing

components are protected from external influences by barrier.

Potting

components are filled or poured with low-viscosity potting materials.

Dispensing technology

You can choose between manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic dispensing systems. It doesn't matter whether you are developing a prototype or depend on the highest possible accuracy and reliability in series production. The dispensing lines will be automated meeting the requirements of your applications. The results are dispensing systems that are tailored to the individual properties of the materials, while at the same time keeping costs as low as possible. At our Technology Center, we work with you to develop a process that is tailored to your component, material and requirements.

Dispensing systems and techniques

bdtronic offers a wide range of dispensing systems with different dispensing technologies. Due to the individual process development, it is possible to adapt the dispensing systems to the most different areas of any company. We offer solutions for many areas such as automotive electronics, driver assistance systems, e-mobility, medicine and pharmaceuticals or telecommunications.

We have made it our business to adapt every process to your component, your material and your requirements. bdtronic determines the right combination needed for it and puts together an optimal dispensing system. This not only guarantees high process reliability, but also avoids interface problems. We offer complete dispensing systems, individually adapted to your needs. Let us advise you without obligation and benefit from our experience and the know-how we have acquired over the years.

What is the difference between volumetric and gravimetric dispensing systems?

Customized dispensing systems for your application are our job. Common are volumetric and gravimetric dispensing systems. Basically, the dispensing processes of bdtronic work with dispensing systems according to the endless piston principle.

Volumetric Dispensing System

The volume of the material is the determining factor when the system is aligned. Metering technology applies measurment systems to dispense the specified amount of material at a specified time and in a pre-fixed ratio.

Gravimetric Dispensing Systems

In gravimetric dispensing systems, the dispensing technology is based on weight. A built-in scale is used to measure the weight of the material to be dosed. The gravimetric dispensing system automatically counteract the deviation of the bulk density.

Advantages of dispensing system

Dispensing systems from bdtronic are particularly convincing due to their highest quality requirements, absolute process reliability and high repeatability. Efficiency, economy, accuracy and reproducibility are in the foreground when developing the process solutions for your needs. But other facts also speak for themselves:

Speed

Whether single or multi-component, polyurethane, silicones, epoxy resins or other materials, the dispensing systems work quickly and accurately.

Repeatability and positional accuracy

From one-off to series production, dispensing technology offers the advantage that every part is precisely processed and prepared for the next work step.

High precision and long-term stability

High quality requirements are placed not only on the components and materials, but also on the dispensing systems. This ensures high precision and long-term stability.

Efficiency

Since the metering systems can be adjusted to individual requirements, they operate highly efficiently. Only as much material is used as it at least necessary, but at the maximum.

Savings in material costs

Optimal feeding from a variety of container sizes enables efficient and cost-effective use of materials by providing the ability to dispense and process both large and small quantities of material without waste of inefficiency. Material preparation is an important step in vacuum potting technology because it ensures that the material is free of air bubbles, contaminants and other defects that can affect the quality and performance of the final product.

How do I choose the right dispensing system?

Selecting the right dispensing system

Various factors come into play when selecting the right dispensing system. First and foremost, it is a matter of including the resin supplier, the customer and the machine manufacturer in the process determination. Together with the experts from bdtronic, the material properties like viscosity, fillers, dripping time and curing are clarified. Is it a one-component or two-component material? Is material preparation required? Consequently, a choice is made between dynamic and static mixing systems. Should processing take place under vacuum or atmosphere? Different methods are available for curing. You choose between curing over time, curing or preheating over temperature or whether a hardener is more suitable. Quality, flexibility and efficiency are at the heart of the decision-making process for the dispensing system. The right dispensing system is selected according to requirements and individual customer wishes. Already developed components can be added to an individual adapted system.
